Satja Nai Chum Joan (Suea Sung Fah III)

Satja Nai Chum Joan (Suea Sung Fah III) is a Thai action-crime series that ran on Channel 7 HD from late October to early December 2022, airing three nights a week (Friday through Sunday) at 20:30 for a total of 17 episodes. It closes out the Suea Sung Fah trilogy, which began with *Suea Sung Fah* in 2011 and continued with *Suea Sung Fah II: Payak Payong* in 2013.

The story takes place years after the Asia-Pacific War, in the Dong Phaya Yen area near Khao Yai. A masked bandit called Suea Dej has been terrorizing the region—but he only targets wealthy cheats and corrupt officials, giving what he steals to poor villagers. The locals adore him and call him the "King of Dong Phaya Yen." One day, a mysterious man and his sidekick rescue two women: Auem Chan and Waeo Dao, the latter being the younger sister of Rachan—who is secretly Suea Dej himself. That rescuer is Han, a bandit with magical abilities known as Suea Han. Suea Dej holds a deep grudge against Suea Han, convinced that Han caused his parents’ death, and so he sets out for revenge.

The main cast includes Akkaphan Namart as Rachan / Suea Dej, Chermawee Suwanpanuchoke as Jariya, Kelly Tanapat as Suea Han, Anna Glucks as Waeo Dao, Kiatipoom Banluechairit as Pol. Capt. Kokitat, and Krittarit Butprom as Suea Khem. Supporting roles are filled by Shahkrit Boonsing, Kanya Rattanapetch, Chanapat Wonghrienthai, Somjit Jongjohor, Supatpon Kasikam, Amarin Simarot, Thapakorn Dissayanan, Kasab Champadib, Vudhinan Maikan, Wayne Falconer, Nuttanan Khunwat, Farida Waller, Jim Chuanchuen, Silord Chernyim, and Suchada Poonpattanasuk. Special appearances include Chatmongkol Bumpen, Ek Rangsiroj, Chartchai Ngamsan, Tharathip Sihadejrungchai, John Bravo, Krailas Kraingkrai, Kittipan Bhumsuko, and Sitavasin Kabinchonlathit.

This third installment is the work of the same production team and director, Anuwat Thanomrod, who handled the earlier two parts. Kelly Tanapat returns as Suea Han, a role he says he loves. Channel 7 HD, which owns the rights, released a teaser and trailer early in the year, even though the show didn’t air until late 2022. A sacrifice ceremony took place at the channel’s Ganesha courtyard on October 10, 2022.
